GLOBAL ESCROW SERVICES S.A.´s registration before the Financial Entities General Supervisor (SUGEF) is not an authorization to operate and the supervision that the SUGEF excerpts is just for the purpose of complying with the dispositions contained in the Law 8204 (“Law on narcotics, psychotropic substances, unauthorized drugs, money laundering and related activities”). Therefore, SUGEF does not supervise the businesses conducted by the company, nor its security, stability or solvency. The persons that require its services do so under their own expense and risk.”
The rendering of fiduciary and escrow services within the costarican territory is permitted and authorized by the applicable laws. Nevertheless, in order to legally operate the persons that provide these services are required to operate under the supervision of SUGEF. GTF & GES are supervised by SUGEF and operate in accordance with the dispositions contained in the Civil Code and the Commerce Code of the Republic of Costa Rica, Law # 8204 (“Law on narcotics, psychotropic substances, unauthorized drugs, money laundering and related activities”) and SUGEF´s agreement # 11-06”
